We grabbed this bomber at the Whole Foods down the street. They have a pretty good selection of local beers and we love just looking around the store when we get a chance. My love of hops was telling me this one was going to be good. Plus we have been a Silver Moon fan for a good while, but still have not nailed a favorite from the brewer. Maybe this would be it.

    Appearance:

    1 inch white head with medium thickness. Very little lacing. Light carbonation. Brown-copper tint that was a little cloudy when first poured.

    Smell:

    Hops and a sweet floral aroma.

    Taste:

    Hoppy with a good amount of bitterness. A lingering bitterness. Not a lot of alcohol prevailed and little malt flavor.

    Mouthfeel:

    Light and bitter on the back end. Pretty smooth feeling.

    Last Sip/Drinkability:

    I am becoming more drawn to hoppy beers so this is definitely my style. Probably one of my favorites at silvermoon.

    Appearance:

    Golden orange color, bubbly/decent carbonation, sticky head/lacing that is cream colored.

    Smell:

    This beer smells floral yet spicy at the same time. You can definitely smell the hops as well.

    Taste:

    It tastes of hops also, some citrus and nice finish not too bitter.

    Mouthfeel:

    Bubbly, light and easy to drink for an IPA.

    Last Sip/Drinkability:

    Overall, it is a nice example of the style, worth trying if you see it. It is not my favorite from them, in face I like their Amber the best. Cool spot to have a beer in Bend, Oregon though and usually some live music going on. And definitely try their Amber!

This was a good beer all the way down! Every time I am in Oregon I will be visiting this venue in Bend. The performance of Mosley Wotta was great and so was the beer!
